Sezincote House Gardens
With the most incredible, Mogul style mansion at its centre, Sezincote Gardens provide a sub-tropical feast for the eyes.
Neglected during World War 2, the garden was restored in the 1960s by Sir Cyril and Lady Kleinwort, with the help of consultant Graham Stuart Thomas. They proceeded to construct small canals and plant symmetrical Irish Yews, all creating the illusion of a sub-continental paradise.
Exceptionally fine submarginal plantings line the water garden and contain rare specimens. The seamless flow of these streams and pools are carpeted with large-leaved perennials that work well with the Oriental ornaments such as the Brahmin Bulls.
Other features include the curved conservatory smothered in tender climbers and views of the gorgeous parkland and its mighty trees.
Here at Cotswold Garden Tours, you are cordially invited to be with us as we tour these famous gardens with talented Head Gardener, Greg Power. Be transported back to a bygone age with a house tour and learn the history of a prominent Cotswold estate.

Accessibility at Sezincote House Gardens
There are steep banks, uneven stone bridges, and gravel paths which, along with much of the garden being on a slope, make it difficult for wheelchairs and those with difficulty walking. Enough of the garden can be accessed to make the visit worthwhile though. Inside the house, the upstairs is inaccessible to wheelchair users and those who have difficulty climbing stairs. The house guide will provide books and photograph albums to look at in the dining room whilst the rest of the group is upstairs.
